Paul McCartney - Desert Island Discs

In 1982, Paul appeared on long-running UK radio show Desert Island Discs, in which star guests choose eight records they’d want if they were ever shipwrecked on a desert island. Paul chose John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy," "Walking in the Park with Eloise" by the Country Hams, written by Jim McCartney and recorded by Paul under a pseudonym, and Benjamin Britten’s "Courtly Dances From Gloriana," revealing a late-blooming taste for classical music. But his remaining choices were '50s American rock & roll classics: Elvis Presley’s "Heartbreak Hotel," Chuck Berry’s "Sweet Little Sixteen," Gene Vincent’s "Be Bop A Lula," Little Richard’s "Tutti Frutti" and the Coasters’ "Searchin’." - Johnny Black

  1. Thanks so much for uploading this, I've been searching for it for years! Taped it at the time, but the tape's long gone.
